Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan has given sermons to serve the
sick and act for the entire benefit of mankind. On the occasion of VIMSHATI MAHOTSAV of Rajkot Gurukul, Sdg. Shashtriji Maharaj
opened Shree Swaminarayan public dispensary and disease diagnosis
centre. Since then needy people are given free
diagnosis service and medicines at compensatory rates or free
of charge.

Animal Welfare ...
The Vedas proclaim ' Let welfare be to biped and the
quadruped'. Following the preaching of the Vedas, Shree
Swaminarayan Gurukul maintains Gaushalas in almost all its
branches. During the heavy draught in Saurashtra,
the Gurukul organized a Cattle-camp at Chharodi. Here more
than 1000 cows and bulls were sheltered with proper food,
water and medical care. It was started in the month of
November 2000. It was continued for a period of eight months.
