Admission Process
2009-10
(FOR NRI STUDENTS)
Introduction :
The school is pleased to receive enquiries
from parents and encourages them to visit
the school with their wards with prior
appointment, in order to know more about the
institution. Once parents are convinced that
this is the right school for their wards,
parents are requested to submit the required
documents and supposed to follow the
procedures mentioned below to enable us for
considering admission for their ward.
STEP : 1 (Issuing of
Admission Form on the basis of Age Criteria)
For entry into JR KG, the student must have
attained the age of 3+ years by 31st March
2009. The boarding facility is available
from VI standard onwards (Optional) and
compulsory from VIII standard. Parents can
acquire a school prospectus along with
Application Form either from school against
on payment of Rs 400/- of can be made at the
time of submission.

STEP : 2 (Submission
of Admission Form & issuing of Admit Card
for Entrance Test)
The application
form should be submitted along with a
copy of the Mark Sheet of Previous & Current
Year, special achievements/awards
certificate if any, Certified English Copy
of Child’s Birth Certificate, Medical
Fitness Certificate, Psychological & 3
Latest Passport Size Photographs only
through courier. After submission of
application form, parents will be issued
offer letter which will be sent through
email to parents or the local guardian could
come to school and complete the formalities.
STEP : 3 (Subjects of
Admission Test)
The tests will be conducted as follows:

For entry into JR KG
: Random Draw System
(No Admission Test)
·
For entry into SR KG :
Informal testing & General Awareness
·
For entry into grades I to II
: English & Mathematics
·
For entry into grades III to V :
English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies
& Hindi
·
For entry into grades VI to IX :
English, Mathematics, Science & Hindi
The test will be taken based on previous
class’s basic concepts and skills. Students
must carry their compass box with them while
appearing for the test.
Calculators will not be permitted.
Evaluation would be done on the basis of the
marks obtained in the written & oral tests.
STEP : 4 (Admission
Test Result & Personal Interaction)
Entrance test (Written & Oral Test) will be
conducted on prefixed dates between 8:00 am
to 3:00 pm. Parents personal interactions
with school management committee will take
place on the same day. Result will be
declared on the same day. Student not
performing upto the mark, parent/ guardian
would be asked to submit undertaking along
with extra payment of fees for extra
coaching for required subject (Only for
Hostellers). Day school students would have
to manage extra coaching on their own.
STEP : 5 (Submission
of Documents)

Confirming for the bus routes (School buses
will ply on the fixed pick up points only
and the bus route will not be changed for
the entire academic year.)

Payment Method :
{A} At the time of
new Admission : (I Installment)
Fees must be paid within 10 days of
receiving admission offer letter.
Failing to which the school reserves
right to cancel the admission. Parents
will have to submit the
local cheque or DD in favour of “SGVPGA”
payable at Ahmedabad, within 10
days of admission confirmation. The
admission will be confirmed once all the
documents listed in the admission form
are submitted and admission fees paid.
{B} Fee Payment :
(II Installment)
(i) Parent are requested to make the
said payment through any branch of the
ICICI Bank through specified pay-in slip
with School account Code “SGVPGA” only.
Blank pay-in-slip can be obtained
from school office and also can be
downloaded from our website. Please note
that Non MICR Cheque will not be
accepted.
(ii) Please fill the pay-in –slip and
write clearly the name of your ward, GR.
No, STD, Div and Amount.
(iii) You can pay the fee by
cash/local Cheque or DD only. Cheque/DD
should be drawn in favour of “SGVPGA”.
You are requested to write Name,
Standard and Division of student and
contact number on the back side of the
Cheque.
(iv) It is compulsory to submit
the school copy of Pay-in-Slip after
paying the school fee.
(v) Parents are required to retain
the proof of school fee payment for at
least a year after the date of payment.
(vi) Late fee Rs.50 per day will be
charged till one month after the last
date of the fee payment, failure of
which may result in cancellation of
admission.
(vii) It is the responsibility of the
parents to ensure that fees is credited
to the school account within time limit.

school hours i.e. 08:30 am. to 03:00 pm.
on Working Days (Monday to Saturday)
Details for the procurement of Uniform,
textbooks & Notebooks & its schedule
will be declared by 15th March 2009.

Parents have to submit School
Leaving Certificate / Migration
Certificate (duly counter signed by
Education Officer of concerned Education
Board after admission is confirmed).
·
Authentic & authorized certificate for
SC / ST / OBC including Baxi Panch
should be submitted, if applicable.
·
Passport photocopy for only NRI Student
.It will be the responsibility of NRI
Parents to complete all the required
legal formalities pertaining to
student’s visa for study in India and to
register ward’s name at the city
commissioner’s office by filling FORM :
A (Registration of foreigner’s rules
1939) at Ahmedabad and to submit the
copy of registration OR photo copy of
PIO CARD (Persons of Indian Origin Card)
after admission is confirmed.
STEP : 6 (Welcome
Package)
All details about school schedule,
school calendar, procurement of
textbook-notebook, uniform, & other
materials will be provided in
Student-Parents handbook in our welcome
Package later on. The new academic
session will start by 01st April 2009;
there will be Summer Break from 04th May
’09 to 20th June ’09. The school will
reopen from Monday, the 22nd June 2009.
