Pujya Balkrishnadasji swami was initiated on 21 April, 1967. Seeing his Creativities and Capabilities, Pujya Shastriji Maharaj assigned him as a head of the Ahmedabad Gurukul, the third branch of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Rajkot. Since then, even with too many difficulties, Pujya Swami is carrying out this responsibility. Under his guidance, the Ahmedabad branch improved in every sphere. 

Pujya Balkrishnadasji Swami has also established Chharodi branch as 'Vishwavidya Pratishthanam'. Even with so many responsibilities, his absolute devotion, penance and spiritual status inspire us.
