Lord Brahma, The Creator, is
said to have created Brahmins and
cows simultaneously. Bhagawan Shree
Krishna cowherd in His
childhood and hence, is also called
'GOPAL' - The one who takes care of
cows.
Cows are treated as mother in Indian
culture.
More practically, the cow is the
workhorse - so to say - of the
predominantly agrarian countryside.
Its milk, dung and urine have
naturally beneficial end - uses.
This ancient traditional use of the
cow's output needs to be blended with
modern technology for the benefit of
Mankind.
For this purpose, the cows need to
be provided with a proper habitat
and diet on scientific lines.
The Gosadanam :

Has state of the art facility for
cows, bulls and calves.

Accommodates more than 200 cows in well -
designed, hygienic stalls.
·
Includes godowns and cellars for
storing grass and cattle feed
respectively.
·
Also includes a Gas Plant to convert
cow dung to bio gas energy.
·
Utilises the residue of the Gas
Plant as manure.
·
Undertakes the conversion of cow's
urine combined with neem leaves to
eco - friendly pesticides.
·
Provides fresh, pure milk
to the campus residents.
·
Transforms
excess milk, ghee and clarified butter into medicinal
inputs.
Achievement :
The cows and bulls of Kamdhenu
Gosadanam have received the
national award every year since
Gosadam inception.
Cows, being served at best service
oriented cowshed 'KAMALA' - was awarded
as best milk-donor at national
level, January-2001.
