A beautifully designed and
constructed Lotus Temple, surrounded
by a lush garden, is a place of
attraction for the people of the
twin-city, as well as outsiders.
People of all religious caste and
community regularly visit this
temple. On Sunday, the temple
attracts a large flow of visitors
throughout the day.
In the
Shikshapatri, Lord Shree
Swaminarayan has instructed all his
devotees to reverently respect and
offer obeisance to the five deities
namely VISHNU, SHIV, GANAPATI,
PARVATI, and SURYA. In accordance
with His instructions, idols of all
these deities are installed in this
temple. Also, Murties of other
deities like Radha Krishna, Sita
Ram, Tirupati Balaji, Narsimahji,
and Hanumanji are installed here.
All arrangements are conveniently
made for devotees to perform pooja
in a quiet and holy atmosphere.
Here, many festivals are organised
and devotees assemble in large
numbers to celebrate festivals in
joy and harmony.
In the history
of Indian Sampraday five streams of
Upasana are
depicted in spiritual
Scriptures. As,
VAISHNAV
- in which Lord Vishnu is
being Worshipped as a supreme
power
SHAIVA
- followers of this Stream of
upasana are dedicated to Lord Shiv.
X
GANAPATYA
- in this type worthiness is offered
to Lord Ganesh.
SAURYA
- here extreme devotion is towards
Lord Sun.
SHAKTA
- reverence is for Shakti - Goddess
Parvati
Ultimate purpose of Scriptures lies
in welfare of souls but variation in
Upasana is due to various natures of
human beings. In order to establish
a grand way of ultimate salvation
for all kind of people Lord Shree
Swaminarayan united all of them in
one path as, 'My devotees shall
worship with reverence all the five
deities - Vishnu, Shiv, Ganapati,
Parvati and the Sun'.
According to that sermon of Lord
Shree Swaminarayan a marvelous LOTUS
TEMPLE adorns the pious land of
Gurukul. In the lotus-shaped temple
inside the pond, Lord Shree
Swaminarayan along with five deities
are being worshipped. Other
incarnations are also there for
divine darashan. |
