After his initiation, Pujya Dharmavallabhdasji Swami shaped his saintly life under the guidance of Sdg. Shastriji Maharaj. To spread the benevolent message of Lord Swaminarayan, he traveled many villages and places for years together and developed and formatted an ideal net work of satsang Mandals.  

Due to the ever growing demand of devotees, it was the one of the dreams of Pujya Shastriji Maharaj to establish a branch at Surat. By the grace of Lord Shree Swaminarayan the dream was fulfilled in the year of 1990 and Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami and Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami  bestowed Pujya Dharmavallbhdasji Swami to head the branch. 

Because of his tireless and unique capabilities Surat branch has created a niche for itself in a very short span.

With his immense inspiration, simple life and heart touching discourses, he boosted up the moral and cultural values in the Youth of Surat city and its surroundings
By his inspirations and guidance, the Akhand Dhun flows gloriously since 1997,which is for the first time in the History of the Swaminarayan Sampraday. 

His discourses on the holy scriptures like Vachanamrut, Nishkulanand Kavya, Muktanand Kavya, Harililamrut and Shreemad Bhagavat Gita reach straight to the heart.
