With the inspiration of Guruvarya Pujya Swami Shree Madhavapriyadasji, various religious and social service activities are carried out through Shree Swaminarayan Sanatan Mandir in Savannah, Georgia, USA.
Dhanur Maas, a month for spiritual discourses and social activities, was accomplished with many beneficent activities at SGVP and all branch Gurukuls.
Beside the discourses on Vachanamrut and Charitra Katha, Rajopachar of Shree Ram-Shyam-Ghanshyam Maharaj at SGVP, group Mahapooja, Falkut & fruit distribution at hospital, blanket distribution, visit of old age home, underprivileged child centre, educational help in school of rural area were carried out by Gurukul students.
Value based education is to inculcate human values in new generation. As a part of it, with the inspiration of Sadguruvarya Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, students of Gurukul are subjected for various social services.
During winter, students of SGVP Dharmajivan Hostel distributed 1500 blankets to the needy people on road side and in slum area. Voluntarily 100 students along with saints visited the many places during night and extended the helping hands to needy individuals. Volunteers spent 1000 human hours to organized this noble task successfully.
Dhanurmas - Giving alms to the deserving poor and Brahmins during this period is believed to confer great merit(Punya).
