MOU signing for Sanskrit Research
Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalay is situated in the campus of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Vishwavidya Pratishthanam (SGVP), Chharodi and conducting the course of Sanskrit since last seven years. 125 students along with saints of Gurukul are studying various scriptures, Vedic texts and Indian philosophies in the medium of Sanskrit language. Under the guidance of Acharya Rampriyajee, learned teachers take immense care for the all-round development of students and saints.
Since long time there was an aspiration of Sadguru Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami and Sadguru Shastri Swami Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami to conduct the research work in the various fields of Sanskrit, as well as the publication of new thesis by doing research on Vedic & Sampraday scriptures.
Sanskrit Research Academy (ASR) at Melkot (Karnataka) is a well known and government recognised research institution since 1975. It works especially on the theory of Vishishtadwait doctrine of Shree Ramanujacharya and has published many books, articles and project papers. Shree Swaminarayan Sampraday gives recognition to Vishishtadwait philosophy in spiritual premise.
After the considerate and significant discussion between SGVP and ASR, a MOU signing ceremony was held on 19 June, 2006 at SGVP.
This ceremony was held under the chairmanship of Sadguru Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami and Shree Krishnaprasadji (Registrar – ASR). Shree Rampriyajee, Principal of Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalay told that SGVP and ASR are working on a same goal. This MOU is for the propagation of our Vishishtadwait Philosophy and to spread the devotional traditions founded by Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan and Shree Ramanujacharya. Due to this, Sadvidya – The true knowledge bestowed by Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan can be propagated more widely. Students and teachers of Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalay can get opportunities for the research work under the guidance of learned Pandits. Moreover, as per the wish of Sadguru Shastri Swami Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, students of Mahavidyalay can ensure an honourable position in the circle of erudite people and contribute the philosophy of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan as per Indian traditions in spiritual world.
ASR is working in this field of research since last thirty years. Students and educators of Gurukul can avail benefits of its experience and ASR can utilise modern technological skill of SGVP in research work. As a result of this understanding of mutual benefits and link between Pandits and scientists, the exchange among students, learners, scholars and researchers can be beneficial for both the ends and for the society as well.
Shree Krishnaprasadji (Registrar, ASR) expressed the feelings of pleasure and inform that learned Principal of Sanskrit Mahavidyalay Shree Rampriyajee is from one of the best researchers of ASR. One of the objectives of this MOU is to train such learned researchers for the future. Shree Rampriyajee is the bridge to connect SGVP and ASR. I request to Swamijee that whatever work has been done by Sadguru Shree Goplalanad Swami and other learned saints of Shree Swaminarayan Sampraday in the past, I invite all educators and students to represent that valuable treasure to society for the benefit of common masses.
In his words of blessings, Sadguru Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami said said that to meet with the lack of well erudite and to propagate the benevolent principles of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan we have to step forward constantly. There is no achievement without adventure. We are singing this MOU to fasten the Devotion and Surrender (Bhakti-Sharanagati) of Shree Ramanauja Acharya with the values and life oriented principles of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan to propagate ‘Sadvidya’ in the society on great scale.
Lastly, on the behalf of SGVP Sadguru Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami and on the behalf of ASR Shree Krishnaprasadji singed the MOU and offered it to the lotus feet of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan.
