Just in the dawn time of independent India Sdg. Shastriji Maharaj
Shree Dharmajivandasji Swami obtained the inspiration to propagate
the benevolent massage of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan round the
world. To preserve and propagate the fundamental values of Sampraday
and Indian culture Pujya Shastriji Maharaj established the reformed
ancient tradition of Gurukul in the modern era at Rajkot –Gujarat in
1948.
With the stipulation of time unique activities of Gurukul
institution spread in Asia, Africa and American continent.
Concurrently far-reaching branches of Gurukul sprouted out in
Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and abroad too.
With the grace of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan and with the blessings
from Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji, with the inspiration of Sdg.
Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami and Sdg. Shastri Shree
Madhavpriyadasji Swami the 10th branch of Gurukul was decided to
establish in educational city Bangalore (Karanataka State) under the
guidance of Sdg. Purani Shree Devprasaddasji Swami.
On the pious day of Dashera (22 Oct, 2004) the foundation Stone was
Laid from the holy hands of Pyjyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji in the warm
presence of Sdg. Mahant Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami and Sdg. Purani
Shree Gyanswarupdasji Swami, Sdg. Purani Shree Dharmavallbhdasji
Swami other elder saints, political & social leaders and devotees.
Incessant Dhoon for 24 hours was started from 21 Oct. by
Pujya Devpradasdasji Swami and was conducted by students of Gurukul
Junagadh, Hyderabad and devotees. On the same day the land of new
branch became pious with holy foot stapes of Pujyapad Shree Jogi
Swamiji.
On 22 Nov. morning Mahapooja was performed on the land of Gurukul.
In the assembly chief guest Shree D. Manjunathan (Education
Minister, (Karanatak State) was welcomed and Pujya Gyanswarupdasji
Swami, Pujya Dharmavallbhdasji Swami narrated activities and
importance of Gurukul tradition in modern era. Cultural programmes
were presented by the students of Gurukul Junagadh.
At noon 12 O’clock poojan of stone from river Ghela (Gadhapur) and
holy soil from Chhapaiya ( near Ayodhya) - the Birth place of
Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan were worshipped by Pujya Jogi Swamiji
and elder saints. And the stone laying was performed along with the
chanting of Vedic mantras in a very joyful and devotional
atmosphere. Pujya Jogi Swamiji and Pujya Mahant Swami blessed donors
and participants in the development of this branch of Gurukul. Pujya
Jogi Swamiji blessed Pujya Devprasaddasji Swami managing this branch
and other saints.
Along with saints Shree Himmatbhai, Shree Amubhai, Shree Maheshbhai
Raparel, Shree Rajeshbhai Ruparel, Shree Manishbhai, Shree
Rangnathji and other devotees worked hard to succeed this
celebration. Shree Navinbhai Dave – Trustee of Gurukul, gave the
vote of thanks. In this celebration devotees from Mumbai, Chennai,
Kolkata, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Surat, Hyderabad, Secundarbad, Ranchi,
Gulbarga, Nagpur attended this celebration in a very pleasant
atmosphere. |
