It is the tradition of Swaminarayan Gurukul to have Bhrahmasatra during Chaturmas at Gurkul Rajkot. 42nd Brahmasatra had been arranged of six days i.e. from 3rd Sept to 8th Sept 04 in inspiring and joyful atmosphere.

On the first day, there was an attracting procession with music-band, Rass and Kirtans. Devotees took part in it. Pujya Jogi Swamiji had performed the Arti and Brahmasatra had been inaugurated.

In the schedule time Purani Shree Krishnapriyadasji Swami and Shastri Shree Haripriyadasji Swami delivered regular Katha on Shreemad Satsangijivan. It was in such an easy and expert language that people enriched themselves.

Simultaneously, Purani Shree Madhavjivan Swami, Purani Shree Nandkishor Swami and Purani Shree Aksharpriya Swami also had delivered katha on different episodes in people liked language.

Sdg. Purani Shree Dharmavallabhadasji Swami explained with simple narration on various topics of ‘Nishkunanand-kavya’. Everybody enjoyed it.


We know that Vachanamrut is the nectar of our Sampraday. Sdg. Purani Shree Devprasaddasji Swami has a great command on this. He made the listeners awe struck and spells bound. Sdg. Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swamiji, Pujya Shree Laxminarayanadasji Swami had addressed the devotees. Sdg. Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami had given vivid examples regarding the life purification and blessed.

A set of 22 MP3 CDs of elucidation on Vachanamrut given by Sdg. Purani Shree Devprasaddasji Swami was inaugurated from holy hands of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji. A book ‘Satsand Saurabh’ and calendars were also inaugurated.

With the co-operation of Shree Ghanshyam Gopalan Trust – Mumbai, Gurukul completed the Go-seva in 350 villages. Members of this project were honoured.

At the same time 400 villages will get this kind of service in the next year was declared. Pujya Balswami also had commended the work of these persons.

Number of medical services have been implemented and propagated successfully by Gurukul. A new department of Physiotherapy was inaugurated during this Brahmsatra containing latest exercise equipments.

On the day of Janmashtami, participants of Brahmsatra enjoyed many devotional programmes and wonderful Hindola (swings) were prepared by saints and students.

At midnight Janmotsav was celebrated in the atmosphere of great devotion and pleasure.

Pujyapas Shree Jogiswamiji and Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji performed the Arti of Janmotsav.

Shastri Swami Shree Madhavpriya Swami who is at abroad, in Africa, doing adorable work for satsang had sent a blessing letter, which was read out in the presence of devotees.

On the last day of the Brahsatra, i.e. 9th Sept 04 Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishanadasji Swami had done Poojan of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan with Tulsi-leaves with chanting of Janmangal stotra.

During this Brahmsatra devotees from the various regions of Saurashtra and from Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai, Nagpur, Delhi etc places.
