Sdg. Shastri Shree
Madhavpriyadasji Swami and other saints had arrived at London to
nourish Satsang among devotees.
There was a nice seven days Shreemad Bhagvat Katha in Shree
Swaminarayan temple – Kenton (London). Sdg. Shastri Shree
Madhavpriydasji Swami and Purani Shree Madhavjivandasji Swami gave
vivid description in interesting speech. The devotees enjoyed it.
Chief host of the Katha was Shree Bhimjibhai Ashani family of London
(Village: Baladiya).
During the Katha at night from 08-30 to 10.00 p.m. there was the
special meeting of youths with Purani Shree Madhavjivandasji Swami.
It was really fruitful for the youngsters.
Under the guidance and inspiration of Sdg. Shastri Shree
Madhavpriydasji Swami, Shree Swaminarayan temple, Kenton (Harrow)
and Shree Swaminarayan temple, E. London had arranged a camp (Satsang
Shibir) at Keel University’s worth seeing and enjoying
atmosphere near Birmingham from 25th to 29th Aug 04. About 350 to
400 boys and girls had participated in it. The subject of the camp
was “Spiritual education for children and youths”. Saints worked
tooth and nail for the success of the camp. Youngsters of London,
Kenton and E. London had co-operated willingly.
The camp had been stated with Arati and a welcome dance conducted by
the alumni of Gurukul. Daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. children,
teenagers as well as aged enjoyed the Shibir.
There was a special arrangement for children and youth to teach them
morning Pooja, Manasi Pooja and other rituals of Sampraday.
Simultaneously aged personalities were addressed by Sdg. Shastri
Shree Madhavpriydasji Swami on religious matter.
On the last day what the children got had been presented by them.
Programme was enjoyed by everyone. The young students had a
wonderful and successful presentation with computer aids on various
topics like- Lord Shree Swaminarayan – The Supremacy, Tirthyatra,
Hinduism etc.
DVD presentation prepared by the saints was really effective and
useful to promote the knowledge among the children. This
presentation with English commentary was one of the attractions. It
was to explain the importance and procedure to perform Arti, Dandvat,
Mala, Pradaxina, Thal etc. Participants acquired much important
knowledge from this presentation.
Everyday devotees enjoyed the Purani Shree Hariswaroop Swami’s video
cassette on different subjects.
In addition Pujya
Madhavjivandasji Swami explained the importance of five Mansi
Pooja and practically showed that how to perform it. The
participants took the pledge to do the five times Mansi Pooja
everyday.
In the end of the camp
children and youths exhibiting excellent performance were
encouraged. All the participants were gifted with a laminated
photograph of Sdg. Shree Muktanand Swami.
The end of the camp was
emotional, tears rolled down from the eyes of all. Everybody was
willing to have another long camp in a short period.
