Gurupoornima Celebration 2005 Gurukul Rajkot

Indian culture is very ancient and also based on values of life. It has proved that our traditional culture is the best and practicable in this age of science. So it can be said that Indian culture is absolutely a scientific culture. The greatness of our culture is due to its strong spiritual and social base. The great significance of Guru has been established in these two spheres of cultural traditions. Due to such obligations of Guru we offer obeisance to express reverence and invoke prayer to honour Jagatguru Mahrshi Vyas Muni on this auspicious birthday.

A congregation was organized to celebrate Guruvandana at Rajkot Gurukul. H.H. Kothari Swami Shree Harijivandasji Swami and H.H. .Bhandari Swami Shree Hariprasaddasji Swami inaugurated the celebration by recitation of Janmangal Stotra along with offering Tulsi to Thakorji.

After prayer and action-song the senior saints performed the Poojan of Gurudev Shastriji Maharaj Shree Dharmajivandasji Swami and Purani Swami Shree Permprakashdasji Swami. After that the Haribhaktas have done the Poojan of enlightened saints and experienced utmost satisfaction. Shree Laxmanbhai and H.H. Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami revived the memories of Gurudev in our mind.

The saints immersed in the ecstasy of devotion. After welcome song & dance the saints performed Gurupoojan and felt a great satisfaction.

On this occasion the Poojan of foundation stone of ‘Shree Shastriji Maharaj Memorial’, which is a gigantic prayer hall and Smruti Madir at Tarvada Gurukul, was performed by Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji. Those who have donated for the construction work of this huge complex, that displays the life and work of Sadguru Shastriji Maharaj, were honoured and received blessings too.

A VCD of ‘Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swami nu Jivan Darshan’ (glimpse of life) was released by Sadguru Shree Devkrishandasji Swami.

After the relevant ceremonial speech of Sadguru Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami those students were encouraged who got special reward for academic excellence. The students of Surat Gurukul presented various cultural programmes. After the blessings of Sadguru Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami, the guests, students and devotees have done the Poojan of saints. On this occasion the alumni and devotees arrived here from various districts and villages of Gujarat and many cities of India and abroad. Haribhaktas performed Gurupooja and Guruvandana and experienced the contentment.

Shree Vasudevbhai Patel (USA), Shree Ashokbhai (USA) and Shree Dilipbhai Patel (Maneja) were the Yajmans for this celebration of Gurupoornima have rendered their services and got immense satisfaction.
