Coming year is the Shatamrut (175) year of scripture Bhaktachintamani created by Sadguru Shree Nishkulanand Swami. In this accordance Sharad Poornima festival was organised along with Anushthan of Bhaktachintamani, Abhishek of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj, Sarvamangal Yagna and Mahapooja at SGVP, in the holy presence of Pujya Jogi Swamiji and elder saints.

As per the guidance and wish of Pujya Balkrishnadasji Swami the saints, students and Haribhaktas took part in Anushthan of Bhaktachintamani with great zeal and completed the 525 recitations of scripture.

On 15th October’ 05, Sarvmangal Yagna was conducted as a part of Anushthan under the guidance of Pujya Purani Swami Shree Bhaktiprakashdasji Swami, in which 5251 oblations (Ahuties) were offered with recitation of Sarvamangal Mantras. The holy water from ‘Adalaj Vav (step well)’ was brought for doing Abhishek of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj. Sadguru Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami and elder saints welcomed the Jalyatra - shobhayatra taken out in Kalash, Kumbh and Kavad. This was worshipped according to Vedic tradition.

On 16th October’05, the day of Sharad Poonam, during morning time, at Saint-ashram Abhishek of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj was done by holy water, Panchamrut, 108 varieties of herb-water and juice of fruits.

A delicious-n-marvelous Annakut was offered to the Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj after Abhishek. Pujya Jogi Swami and senior saints had performed Aarti of Abhishek and Annakut. The female devotees had taken part in group Mahapooja. Those who had done the recitation of Bhakt Chitamani participated in it. During noontime just after Kirtan-Bhakti Pujya Madhavpriyadasji Swami delivered a nice speech on the importance of Bhaktavhinatamani and its poet Sadguru Shree Nishkulanand Swami.

In the presence of saints from various branches of Gurukul and reputed personalities the lamp was lit up at 09.00 pm with chanting of Ved-mantras and thus the inauguration of function (Shard Utsav) was carried out. The Poojan of Sadguru Shree Gunatitanand Swami was done in the beginning because that day was the appearance day of this great Saint. With four Aarti the students of Ahmedabad Gurukul and SGVP have presented the Welcome Raas, Hudo Raas, Bihari Raas, Didhiyo Raas etc. A Kavvali, based on the tune of popular and traditional Kavvals (Kavvali singers) from Delhi, attracted the attention of devotees and guests. They appreciated the inclusion of Kavvali in Hindu festival.

Pujya Jogi Swami boosted the zeal of devotees by his divine presence. Devotees expressed their contentment and had a glimpse of ‘Paramhans Raas’. Two VCDs on Vachanamrut explained by Purani Shree Hariswarupradasaji Swami were released by Pujya Jogi Swami.

Pujya Balkrishnadasji swami declared the celebrations of Bhakta-chintamani Mahotsav, which is to be celebrated next year at Gurukul Rajkot. It enhanced the zeal of all devotees. Pujya Dharmavallabhdasji Swami delivered a relevant speech. Students of Ahmedabad presented a favorite Maniyaro Ras and thus enthralled everyone. This year also the students won the contest of Maniyaro Ras with first position like previous years. At the last, nearly eight thousand devotees received the Prasadam of milk-Pauva.
