Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan bestowed this universe with His great Mantra ‘Swaminarayan’ for the ultimate salvation of all living beings on earth. On the divine occasion of Golden jubilee celebration of Gurukul Rajkot Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji started the incessant flow of this great Mantra. After the pilgrimage of all six temples founded by Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan, this incessant Dhoon inhabited at Gurukul Surat. With the unparallel enthusiasm of Yuva Manch, Mahila Manch and students incessant Dhoon and incessant Mantra-Lekhan successfully completed the glorious journey of nine years. With the grace of Shree Hari and elder saints, in spite of many critical situations of flood, earthquake or pestilences incessant Dhoon entered in tenth year on the auspicious day of Magashar Vad Ekadashi, Samvant 2063 which is the same day of Indian calendar on which Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan gave this Mantra.

Secondly, this year daily Yagna practice at Gurukul Surat also completes its ninth year. And this year is also the decennium year of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj (Dharmanandan) at saint Ashram.

On account of decennium year of these three major events this year will be celebrated as Dashabdi Year and was started with one day celebration on 17 December, 2006 at Gurukul Surat.

Before the celebration the Mantra Rath with the recitation of Swaminarayan Mantra moved through the cityfor two days. On 17 December at 05:00 pm a Palkhi Yatra (palanquin) of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan was arranged in the campus of Gurukul and adjacent residents.

It was ended in form of an assembly in the huge campus of Gurukul. After the welcome Nrutya, Sadguru Purani Shree Dharmavallabhdasji Swami explained the various features which will be continued through the decennium year. A marvellous inauguration was performed with a stunning Nrutya by the students of Gurukul along with fluttering of flags and realising of balloons in open sky. Along with saints all participants performed the group Arati.

Pujya Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami blessed that in today’s busy life prayer, Bhajan and Satsang only can maintain peace and prosperity in life.

Students presented Nrutya, Dialogs explaining the importance of Swaminarayan Maha-Mnatra. Two stage shows of Vyapkanand Swami, the first initiated Sadhu by Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan and devotee Dadubha from village Rib who received the sight again by the recitation of Maha-Manta Swaminarayan.

After the Bhojan-Prasad, in an event of Thakar-Thali, students and youths enjoyed Raas and celebration was ended with Prasad of sugarcane. On this occasion, devotees from Surat, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Narmada, Ankleshwar, Vadodara, Anand, Daman, Rajkot, etc were participated.
