CITA is a world renowned accrediting authority both in the United States and worldwide. In 1880, American schools & universities joined hands together to create a method to ensure that highest standards of quality in education are maintained. Thus CITA's roots are over 120 years old. Accreditation is a long process and to get accredited it is necessary to maintain 12 strict accreditation standards to measure the quality level of the school. The standards emphasize areas of excellence in teaching methodology, curriculum, governance/management as well as Health, Hygiene, Safety etc. Only when these standards are met or exceeded that accreditation is granted. The participating regional commission, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), has provided on enhanced accreditation protocol.
