Inaugural & Foundation Stone Celebration - Gurukul Bangalore

With the divine grace of Shreeji Maharaj one more branch of Gurukul is established at Bangalore, the silicone city of India. An inauguration ceremony was held on 23rd April, 2006 for the educational unit of the Gurukul.

On the completion of construction work of facilitated school building, first academic term is going to begin from June 2006. To celebrate this occasion on the day of April 23rd, 108 group Mahapooja and Mahavishnu-yag were performed with Vedic tradition as a religious part of inauguration ceremony.

With the poojan of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan, Shree Ganeshji & Shree Saraswati Devi, inauguration of international school building was held with the holy hands of Sadguru Mahant Swami Devkrishnadasji Swami & Shastri Swami Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami and Dr. T. N. Chaturvedi (Hon’ble President, Karnataka). Ritual was held in the holy presence of Pujya Kothari Swami Shree Harijivandasji Swami, Pujya Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami, Pujya Purani Shree Devprasadasji Swami, Pujya Purani Shree Dharmavallabhdasji Swami, Pujya Purani Shree Krushnaswarupdasji Swami other saints, Mr. R. Ashok (Health & family welfare minister, Karnataka), Shree Harajibhai Patel and other guests

On this occasion, the foundation stone ritual for the hostel building was also held with the holy hands of Pujya Kothari Swami Shree Harijivandasji Swami, elder saints, president of Karnataka and other dignitaries.

It was followed by the warm welcome of Saints, chief guest His Excellency President and guests of honour on the stage. The assembly was arranged on cricket ground of one lac sq. fts. Trustees of Gurukul welcomed all dignitaries on the dais.

Pujya Shukvallabhdasji Swami enlightened with the preparatory information of Gurukul. Principal Dr. Pavankumar illustrated the conspicuous features of the school. Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami explained the importance of Gurukul tradition in the present era along with the benevolent messages of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan and activities of Gurukul in the society.

His Excellency President Dr. T.N. Chaturvedi honoured the trustees & donors Shree Navinbhai Dave, Shree Nanjibhai Patel, Shree Harjibhai Patel, Shree Kantibhai Gandhi, Shree Tulashibhai Goti, Shree Naraharibhai Koya, Shree Baldevbhai Naiyak, Shree Rajkumar Goyal etc. with the memento.

Mr. R. Ashok (Health & family welfare minister, Karnataka) expressed compliments towards the Gurukul. In his message His Excellency President praised the teachings of Shikshapatri given by Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan for the creation of an ideal human and society & nations in turn. He wished that this school will develop not only a name an international school but in real sense. He also said that students from this Gurukul will have the proud of not only this magnificent school but an ideal school they have joined.

Students of Gurukul Surat presented the cultural Nrutya and a stage show explaining the importance of Gurukul in Indian heritage. Sadguru Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami blessed all devotees and participants.

The representative of IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education of the University of Cambridge, UK) Mr. Archit Bhatt explained the benefits of IGCES.

In the end, Pujya Krishnacharandasji Swami expressed the vote of Thanks.

On this occasion of inauguration, Mr. H. D. Kumarswamy (Hon’ble Chief Minister, Karnataka) and Mr. B.S. Yediyurappa (Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister) conveyed their messages of compliments and expressed the gratitude.

Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Institute Of Science

Along with Primary School, Gurukul Bangalore starts Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Institute of Science (Seeking the affiliation under the Bangalore University) from academic year 2006-07 with B.Sc Biotechnology, Genetics and Biochemistry (each 3 year courses).
Admission is open for all three branches.

Eligibility:   PUC or 10+2 with Science.
Facilities: Separate laboratories, Computer labs, Auditorium, Library.
Hostel facilities will be provided with pure & vegetarian food facilities.
