Dr. C. Z. Shah education trust, Surat started to
organise the best school competition among the schools of Surat city.
Competition was for both primary as well as secondary schools.
In the first year itself, as a great surprise Shree
Swaminarayan Gurukul, Surat came at the top position in both the
sections for the best schools in Surat area. |

On 5th March, 2006 in an award distribution
celebration held at Jivan Bharati School, Surat District Education
officer Mr. Zanzrukiya honoured the Gurukul with awards. Shree
Arvindbhai Thesia (Principal, Gujarati Medium School) and Shree
Bhaveshbhai Maradiya (Principal, English medium school) accepted the
awards on behalf of Gurukul.
Moreover, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Surat is nominated as one of the
best five schools in various fields of education. |

Vyakhyan-mala is one of the salient features of forthcoming Shree
Harikrishna Maharaj Mahotsav.
At Surat, Shree
Swaminarayan Temple located at Rampura has its historical importance
since the time of Shreeji Maharaj. Sadguru Shree Muktanand Swami had
acquired this place by removing the evil spirits by his psychic
powers. The Murti of Shree Narayan-muni Dev (Bhagawan Shree
Swaminarayan) was given to him by Shreeji Maharaj Himself for the
pratishtha at this place. |

In this divine
ambience of Shree Narayanmuni Dev, a Bhaktachintamani Vyakhanmala (Katha-parayan
on Bhaktachintamani) was conducted for three days from March 3rd to
5th, 2006. Satsang Mandals (City zone) govern by Gurukul have arranged
for this entire celebration. On March 4th, students of Gurukul, Surat
had presented cultural programmes. |

In the morning of March 5th, group Mahapooj was arranged. It was
decided to perform group Mahapooja for 1551 devotees. But to take the
advantage of Mahapooja in the shelter of Shree Narayanmuni Dev and in
the pious company of holy saints is great fortune. Nearly 2378
devotees took the advantage of this group Mahapooja. Arrangement was
nice and comfort-giving. Shree Lavjibhai, Shree babubhai, Nathubhai,
Shree Sureshbhai Gabani, Shree Ganeshbhai Dungarani, Shree Jayantibhai,
Chhaganbhai, Shree Tulasibhai Goti, Shree Jeranbhai Virani, Shree
Shamjibhagat and other senior devotees participated with saints. It
was an astonishing and devotional experience. Mahapooja was followed
by Satsang assembly. Pujya Narayanprasad Swami (Mahantshree, Temple
Rampura), Pujya Dharmavallabh Swami and other saints from Kubernagar,
Kalakunj, Dabholi, Amaroli graced the occasion with their holy
presence.
In the blood donation camp 35 bottles of blood was donated. |
