To preserve and propagate the fundamental principles bestowed by Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan, Sadguru Shastriji Maharaj Shree Dharmajivandasji Swami re-established the Gurukul tradition in current era at Rajkot. On the pious land of Gurukul Pujya Shastriji Maharaj, Pujya Purani Swami, Pujya Mugat Swami, Pujya Jogi Swami and other saints prepared the number of true followers of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan. In the prayer hall they revealed the students and devotees with the divine deeds and teachings of Shree Hari. They successfully preached them to have moral, spiritual and noble life. In the same prayer hall thousands of students and devotees prayed and worshipped adorable Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj. As the number of devotees is increasing day by day, it was necessary to renovate the prayer hall. |

Moreover, the Maha-pooja of Shree Harikrishna Maharaj will be performed daily and on every Shreehari-Jayanti. Devotees will come for Darshan at Gurukul on foot and will perform the Abhishek. For the Maha-pooja and Abhishek of Shree Harikrishna Maharaj, an octagonal template is also prepared. After the refurbishment of prayer hall, for the Pratirshtha of fascinating Murties of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj and Shree Harikrishna Maharaj, A ‘Murti Pratishtha Mahotsav’ was celebrated at Gurukul Rajkot in the holy presence of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji, with the blessings of Sadguru Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami & Sadguru Shastri Swami Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, during 03 July to 05 July, 2006. |

Salient features of the Mahotsav: Bhaktachintamani Vyakhyan-mala Sadguru Purani Shree Gyanswarupdasji Swami and Purani Shree Krishapriyadasji Swami narrated the divine deeds of Shreeji Maharaj in their unique way.
11 Kund Mahavishnuyag Arani-Manthan was performed on 03 July, morning. With that pious Agni Mahavishnu-yag was performed continuously for three days. In the Purnahuti HHDD Maharajshree Rakeshprasadji MAharaj and holy saints offered the last Ahuti.
Incessant Dhoon and Mantra-Lekhan for 75 hours Bhajan is one of the noticeable features of Gurukul activities. Starting form 02 July, saints and devotees performed Dhoon and Mantra-Lekhan continuously for 75 hours.
Nagar-Yatra (Holy Procession) In the evening of 04 July, a marvellous Nagar-yatra of Shree Ghasnshyam Maharaj and Shree Harikrishna Maharaj was organised. Along with Dhoon-Bhajan, amazing Nagar-yatra was takenout with various vehicles and floats.
Donation of computers (Under the banner of 'Shree Harikrishna Maharaj Mahotsav') On 04 July, 75 computers and educational kits were donated to the schools of rural areas. A well known sevak of cows and education lover Shree Dhirubhai Ramani was the sponsored these computers.
Pran-Pratishtha On the pious day of Shreehari-Jayanti, 05 July, 2006 Pran-Pratishtha of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj and Shree Harikrishna Maharaj was performed by HHDD Acharya Maharajshree Rakeshprasadji Maharaj in the holy presence of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji and saints. Pratishtha ritual was started early in the morning. Maha-abhishek of Pran-Pratishtha was done with the 108 Tirth-jal, various fruit juice, Kesar-jal and Panchamrut along with the recitation of Vedic Mantras & Stotras. HHDD Maharajshree and saints performed the holy Abhishek. Devotees got the advantage of divine Darshan of Abhishek. HHDD Maharajshree and Pujapad Shree Jogi Swamiji performed the Pratishtha Arati. At that time entire campus was filled with sound of ‘Jay-nad’ of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan. Saints, students and devotees enthusiastically celebrated the occasion of Pratishtha. Pratishtha ritual & Shree Mahavishnu-yag were performed in a devotional atmosphere under the guidance of learned Shree Vrujlalbhai Shastri.
Annakut
Bhaktachintamani Yagna Under the banner of forthcoming marvelous ‘Shree Harikrishna Maharaj Mahotsav’ a Bhaktachintamani Yagna was performed from July 06 to July11, 2006 the day of Guru-poornima. With the recitation of each verse of Bhaktachintamani, Ahuties were offered in the Yagna. Elder saints offered the last Ahuti in this Bhktachintamani Yagna.
Newly started life time activities On this devout occasion of Parn-Pratishtha various life time spiritual activities were started.
Devotees can participate in all above sacred and pious activities for their spiritual attainment & benefit.
Shree Vasantbhai Limbasia (son- Mihot) – Rajkot and Shree Jivarajbhia Kurajibhai Changela (Sons – Manish & Harikrishna) were the chief-Yajman of this festival, whereas Shree Chandrakantbhai S. Gohil and Shree Ramanikbhai Shamajibhai Boda were the Co-Yajmans of this Pratishtha Mahotsav.
Devotees from surrounding and faraway participated in this Mahotsav in a great number and got a divine experience of this pious occasion Pran-Pratishtha.
