On
the pious land of the throne of Vadtal established by Bhagawan Shree
Swaminarayan, a grand celebration ‘Shree Harikrishna Maharaj
Mahotsav’ will be organized next year, by the joint efforts of
Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Vadtal and Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul,
Rajkot. In accordance with this Mahotsav a chain of holy Satsang
Maha-sammelan at various zones will be arranged. The first
Maha-sammelan was carried out at Gurukul, Surat on 18th Dec’05 in the
holy presence of His Divine Grace PPDD 1008 Maharajshree
Rakeshprasadji Maharaj and senior saints of the Sampraday.
In
accordance with this grand event ‘Shree Harikrishna Maharaj Mahotsav’
at Vadatal the 2nd Mahasammelan & Shakotsav was
celebrated by Gurukul Rajkot at village Kangasiyali near
Rajkot on 11 January, 2006. |

After
lighting up the inauguration lamp, students of Gurukul, Rajkot
presented the traditional dance. Teachers & students exchanged
dialogues on the various activities and services to be carried out by
this Mahasammelan.
Pujya
Purani Shree Dhramvallabhdasji Swami gave the details of various
social, medical, educational and medical services of incoming Mahotsav. |

Doctors practicing in Gurukul Hospital offered their services to
conduct 725 free operations to honour this Mahotsav. In addition,
several devotees pledged for Chakshudan, Dehdan
(Donation of eyes & body for the benevolence and medical purposes
after one’s own death), 175 Path of Bhaktachintamani and 3.5
crore chants of Mantra.
They
got blessings from elder saints. A blood donation camp was held during
this Mahasammelan.

Shree
Dhirubhai Ramani donated 108 computers to the schools in rural areas.
Donation began with the holy hands of saints in this Sammelan
itself. Till the Mahotsav 1008 computers will be donated to rural
schools.
“Service (Seva) and Smaran (chanting Mantra-jap) was the
message of Pujya Shastriji Maharaj, and on his footprints innumerable
events have been undertaken frequently by all branches of Gurukul”,
thus said Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami. He also
informed that how incidentally the Mahotsav was decided, just by the
wish of Shree Hari. He explained the importance of miraculous
scripture Bhaktachintamani and how it is more effective than other
literatures created by saints & seers. Presentably, due to Anushthan
of this Bhaktachintamani at number of places in Sampraday the light of
Bhakti and Gyan is shining ceaselessly.

this occasion Shree Dhansukhbhai Bhanderi (Mayershree, Rajkot
Corporation) attended the occasion of Mahasammelan. Elder
saints blessed him for doing good services to society.
Pujya
Shastri Shree Narayansevadasji Swami (Surendranagar) and Pujya Kothari
Shree Shreenivasdasji Swami (Junagadh Temple) requested to join this
Mahotsav and it’s a sign of good fortune for us.

In
blessing speech, Sadguru Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami said
that all activities run by Gurukul are solely for the bliss and
honour
of Shreeji Maharaj. We all work for the
marvellous
and highly devotional celebration of incoming Mahotsav.

In the
farm of Shree Rajubhai Vyas, over 10,000 devotees and guests relished
the Maha-prasad of Shakotsav – Brinjal, millet-loaf, butter and
other dishes.
A
great response and enthusiasm was experienced from all corners. |
