Purani Swami Shree Premprakashdasji Swami was tenderly known as ‘Mother of Gurukul’. Sadguru Shree Muktanand swami was known as Mother of Satsang because of his caring nature & dedication towards Satsang. In the same way, loving nature of Pujya Purani Swami towards students and haribhkats was nevertheless than a Mother. In the establishment and development of Gurukul in initial hard time Purani Swami was the right hand of Sadguru Shree Shastriji Maharaj. His dedication for Gurukul and for Pujya Shastriji Maharaj is unparalleled.

An ideal saint with the stanch devotion of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan, firm faith in Satsang – Sampraday traditions, simple & innocent life, unique way of narration, greatly enthusiastic for the spreading of Satsang and knowledge of Shreeji Maharaj, cultivation of students with human & spiritual values, softhearted, tender figure were some of exclusive characteristics of Pujya Purani Swami Shree Premprakashdasji Swami.

With the blessings of Pujya Jogi Swamiji and inspiration of Sadguru Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami & Sadguru Shastri Swami Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami  and

under the guidance of Sadguru Purani Shree Shreeharidasji Swami a stunning temple is constructed at village Khadkhad, the birthplace of Pujya Purani Swami.

The Murtiprtishtha celebration was held under the banner of ‘Purani Swami Smruti Mahotsav’ during April 30th to May 04th, 2006 at village Khadkhad (Ta: Kuknkavav).
Satsnagi-jivan Katha Parayan, Mahavishnu-yag, Alumni get-together, Mahila-Manch, Shobha-yatra, Eye camp, Kirtan-Sandhya, Vyasan-Mukti, Pratishtha were the salient features of the Mahotsav.

Pothi-yatra was held on April 30th, Morning from Shiv-temple to the place of Katha. Sadguru Shastri Swami Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, Sadguru Purani Shree Gyanswarupdasji Swami and Pujya Purani Shree Krushnapriyadasji Swami were the orators of Katha. Shastri Shree Haripriyadasji Swami and Purani Shree Amrutjivandasji Swami also narrated the charitras from Satsangi-jivan.
Shree Viththalbhai Ranchodbhai Patel, Ahmedabad was the chief-Yajman, Shree K.K. Vagadia-Jamnagar, Alumni – Sahajanand Bungalows, Ahmedabad were the co-Yajamans of the Katha Parayan.

Mahavishnu-yag was arranged from May 02nd to May 03rd. Shree Vasantbhai Limbasiya-Rajkot, Shree Jigneshbhai Padhara-Ahmedabad, Shree Haradasbhai Barasiya-Gundasara, Shree Ukabhai Barasiya-Rajkot, Shree Popatbhai Barasiya-Gundasara, Shree Chhaganbhai Gadhiya-Rajkot were the chief-Yajmans of Mahavishnu-yag.

On May 03rd, a warm welcome was offered to PPDD Acharyamaharajshree Rakeshprasadji Maharaj and Alumni Sammelan was held. Many alumni from various parts of Gujarat and out of the state participated in this get-together. Shree Parthbhai Dave, Shree Harikrishnabhai Kidecha, Shree Madhubhai Donga, Shree Laxmanbhai Adroja, Shree Mahendrabhai Shelat addressed them. Shastri Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami –Fareni, Pujya Akshrjivandasji Swami -Gurukul Hariyala, Shastri Shree Anandswarupdasji Swami–Vadiya, Shastri Shree Shreenivasdasji Swami–Junagadh, Shastri Shree Bhagawatcharandasji Swami-Jamjodhapur, Pujya Purani Shree Dharmavallabhdasji Swami, Pujya Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami, Sadguru Shastri Swami Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, Sadguru Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami also described the inspirational virtues of Pujya Purani Swami Shree Premprakasdasji Swami and expressed their affection. Bestowing the blessings HHDD Maharajshree mentioned that the whole life of the Pujya Purani Swami is a model for the Sampraday. He also expressed pleasure on Pujya Purani Shree Shreeharidasji Swami for his affection to put up this temple and blessed him to continue this service in great extent. HHDD Maharajshree blessed all Yajmans, donors, alumni and participants for joining this celebration in the memory of Pujya Purani Swami.

Mahila Manch

This was followed by a great Shobha-yatra in the village. Saints, guests and villagers also participated enthusiastically in this Shobha-yatra.
A free eye camp was arranged for all kinds of eye sicknesses. 168 patients took the benefit of this medical camp.
At noon time, Mahila Manch was arranged in which Pujya Sankhya-yogis from Surat, Amreli and village Tori addressed the female assembly and Bhakti Mahila Mandal presented cultural programmes.

Pratishtha

Pratishtha : Arati

On May 04th, Pratishtha Vidhi was performed with Vedic rituals and PPDD Maharajshree performed Pratishtha Arati in a devotional atmosphere. Saints, alumni and devotees welcomed the occasion with great zeal and pleasure. All participants and villagers served with bhojan-prasad. At village Tori the maternal village of Pujya Purani Swami, also Brahm-Bhojan was offered.

Shree Devrajbhai Raghavbhai Hirpara (Village Khadkhad) was the land donor for the temple. Shree Dhirubhai Vallabhbhai Kotadiya, Surat was the chief Yajman of whole Smruti Mahotsav.

Purani Premprakashdasji Swami Primary School:

Due to the very old condition of primary school of the village, it was decided to construct a new school structure in the memory of Pujya Purani Swami. Decision was welcomed with great enthusiasm. With grace of Shreeji Maharaj Shree Fulabhai, Shree Samjubhai, Shree Babubhai Hirpara and Shree Jivabhai Hirpara donated the land for the new school building. HHDD Maharajshree performed the The poojan of foundation stone and blessed the donors.
