Rangotsav – one of the most famous festivals reformed by Shreeji Maharaj with great spiritual fervour. In the same tradition Rangotsav is celebrated by Gurukul family at Guurkul Surat with great joy and pleasure. This year the festival was celebrated in the holy presence of HHDD Maharajshree Rakeshprasadji Maharaj and saints.

As this time lunar eclipse was falling on the similar day of Rangotsav on 04 March, 2007 in the early morning from 03:00 am to 06:45 am saints, students and devotees in huge number performed Bhajan-Smaran along with Raas and small kits were presented by students.

At 08:00 am a warm welcome was offered to HHDD Maharajshree and a procession (Shobhayatra) was carried out from Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Rampura to Gurukul. Over 115 cars also took part in this procession.

During the last flood disaster there was a severe damage in the city. At Gurukul too there was damage in cultural exhibition. On completion of technological renovation of it with new set up inauguration of this cultural exhibition was done by the holy hands of HHDD Maharajshree Rakeshprasadji Maharaj in the presence of saints.

It was followed by the Annakut Darshan at Prayer Hall. Over 108 delicious sweets, fried dishes and fruits were offered very decoratively to God. HHDD Maharajshree performed the Arati and all had the divine Darshan of marvellous Annakut.

At Saint Ashram as well Pujya Maharajshree performed the Arati of Shree Dharmanandan Ghanshyam Maharaj and also sprinkled the colour of festival on devotees.

The stage events were held in a big farm near by. All saints and devotees welcomed Pujya Maharajshree. Students of Gurukul Surat presented the Holi-Nrutya and other cultural programmes. Sadguru Purani Shree Gyanswarupdasji Swami, Purani Shree Krishnapriyadasji Swami and Pujya Shree Nilkanthcharandasji Swami (Kalakunj Temple, Surat) delivered the occasional speeches. Sadguru Purani Shree Dharmavallbahdasji Swami also addressed the assembly and informed with various spiritual activities.

In his blessings Sadguru Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami explained the importance of such festivals and enlightened the significance of love and compassion in the society.

HHDD Maharajshree stated the glory of celebration and blessed Pujya Dharmavallabhdasji Swami & encouraged him for various spiritual events actvated.

A skit ‘Joban No Rang’ was played representing the celebration of Rangotsav with Shreeji Maharaj and Saints at Vadatal.

It was followed by the long waited Rangotsav in the huge play ground of Gurukul. From the towering stage of Rangitsav Pujya Maharajshree and holy saints showered the colourful water on devotees. Gulal was also sprayed in much quantity along with the fruits. For more than one hour all participants enjoyed the colourful celebration. Afterwards lady devotees too enjoyed the Rangotsav with Gulal and colourful water.

In the end all participants took Bhojan-Prasad.
