Shakotsav is one of the unique festivals started by Bhagawan
Shree Swaminarayan. Gurukul extended the same tradition with
great devotional fervour.
On 17 November 2007, devotees from the Nagher
province celebrated the event of Shakotsav at village Khilavad
in the holy presence of saints from Gurukul. A warm welcome
offered to Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami and
Sadguru Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami. Shobhayatra was
taken out with music party of village Khilavad and Raas group of
village Ambada.
Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami
explained the importance of such festivals to enhance the
spiritual fervour in life. Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami
also delivered the inspirational speech.

In the presence of Shree Mulani Sir (RFO),
devotees and dignitaries honoured Pujya Madhavpriyadasji Swami
for his successful Satsang Yatra of USA.
Female wing of devotees prepared loafs of millet and thousands
of devotees from the surrounding villages served with Prasad of
Shakotsav.
