The annual Day celebration of Gujarati and English medium school was celebrated on February 17, 2007.

In the presence of saints, parents and dignitaries from the town Sadguru Purani Shree Dharmavallabhdasji Swami lit up the lamp to inaugurate the celebration. Students from both the schools presented various cultural programmes. Students of KG section also presented Marshal Art, Pyramids, Yogasan, action songs etc. Mimicry, dragging of a car by the force of teeth, stable balancing, skit – ‘Bharatiya Sanskriti’ etc were appreciable presentations.

Along with Pujya Dharmavallabhdasji Swami, Dr. Kanubhai Mavani (Mayer, Surat City), Shree Vallabhbhai Savani, Shree Laljibhai Patel, Shree Manojbhai Godhani, Shree Jagdishbhai Patel encouraged the students securing the top positions at district, state & national level competitions.

Nearly four hundred students are studying at Gurukul Surat preserving substantial progress in education as well as sports.

          

Parents and guests were satisfied with the presentations of students.

The Pragtya day of Incarnations are treated as the most pious day in Indian tradition. On the holy day of Shree Ram-Navami Bhagawan Shree Ram incarnated Himself at Ayodhya in TretaYug. And Purna-Purushottam Shree Swaminarayan Bhagawan took the human form on the day of Ram-Navani April 17, 1781.

This year the on the day of Ram-Navami March 27, 2007 there was the 6th Annual Pratishtha ceremony day of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj at Gurukul Hyderabad. Moreover at Gurukul Surat the holy Abhishek of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj was arranged.

On every Shree Hari Jayanti (Sud Navami) thousands of devotees take the privilege to come at Gurukul on foot and perform the Abhishek of Shree Harikrishna Maharaj to fulfil the desires. Male devotees perform Abhishek at Yagna-Shala and female devotees perform the Abhishek at Dhoon-Mandap. All devotees perform Abhishek with milk and have the Prasad of ‘Shira’.

On March 26, saints and devotees arranged for Jal-Yatra to fetch the holy water from the river Tapi in Kavad. On Ram-Navami early in the morning the divine Abhishek of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj was performed at Saints Ashram as well as prayer hall. Abhishek was performed with Panchamrut, Tirth-Jal, Kesar-Jal, Juices of various fruits and petals of various flowers. It was an occasion of very divine and delightful Darshan. Abhishek was followed by the Palakhi-Yatra as usual.

Now onwards the abhishek of Shree Harikrishna Maharaj will be performed with Tapi-Jal daily.  Devotees will bring water on foot by Kavad.

At 12:00 noon Pragtya Arati of Bhagawan Shree Ram was performed. At night Pragtya ceremony of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj was performed during 09:30 pm to 11:30 pm. At 10:10 pm Pujya Purani Shree Dharmavallabhdasji Swami performed the Pragyta Arati. Arati was followed by Nrutya, Raas and Kirtan Bhakti. Devotees in huge number took the privilege of this divine occasion.

In HSC Board Exam 2007 (Std. XII Science) Gurukul Surat acquired glittering result.

Result of the school 97% and that of hostel is 98%.

 

       Student Saliya Sagar Pravinbhai obtained 91% and secured 8th position in Surat Centre. He has also secured 110.25 Marks/114 Marks in Guj-cet entrance Exam.

 

        Pujya Sadguru Shree Dharmavallabhdasji Swami, Principal Shree Arvindbhai Thesiya, teachers, students and Gurukul family congratulated him warmly for his bright success.
