With the intent of
personality development in the students ‘Sardar Patel
Education Trust, Surat’ conducts analytic examination
for the schools of city. For the current academic year
examination was held in 2006.
Over 250 schools of Surat
took part in it. In all 25,000 thousand students of Std.
IX, X & XI participated in that examination. It is the
glory of Gurukul that in this examination Gurukul
secured the best position. On 19 January, 2007 School of
Gurukul Surat was honoured by a famous technocrat and
glory of Gujarat, India respected Shree Sam Pitroda. A
Gyan Vardhak unning Award was offered to Gurukul.

In this examination out
of 25,000 students Rafalia Chirag V. (Std. XI)and
Anaghan Nilkanth P. (Std. X)secured the position in top
ten. Both of them were awarded by Shree Sam Pitroda. |

Shikshapatri Jayanti |

23 January, 2007 On the
occasion of Shikshapatri Jayanti, saints and students
performed 523 path (recitation) of Shikshapatri. Sadguru
Purani Shree Dharmavallabhdasji Swami performed the
poojan of Shikshaptri and explained the importance of
Shikshapatri along with the glory of Sadguru Shree
Brahmanand Swami and Sadguru Shree Nishkulanand Swami
whose birthday also falls on the same auspicious day of
Vasant Panchami.
In the Satsang
Mandals run by Gurukul too, Shikshapatri Poojan and
assembly were arranged. Saints delivered the occasional
speeches. |

As per the Gurukul
tradition, values of nationalism are inculcated in the
students through celebrations of national festivals and
patriotic programmes. At Gurukul Surat 58th republic day
of India was celebrated with various programmes in the
presence of saints and dignitaries Shree Vinubhai
Moradiya (Corporator , Ved Road), Shree K.M. Varasani,
Shree Dhirubhai Aswar. Shree Rushikumat Shastri, Shree
Manajibhai Gadhiya (Businessman), Shree Rameshbhai
Moradiya, Dr. Vinodbhai Kathiriya (Child specialist) and
principals of English & Gujarati medium school.

Sadguru Purani Shree
Dharmavallabhdasji Swami and Shree Vinubhai Moradiya
hoisted the national flag. Students presented national
anthem and various cultural programmes. Presentations of
Marshal Art, mono acting, mimicry were appreciable.
On this occasion
students acquiring higher position in district level &
state level were encouraged with trophy by Sadguru
Purani Shree Dharmavallabhdasji Swami. |

On 27-28 January, 2007 a
Karate championship was held at Jothan by Surat Waorls
Sotokon. Among 450 participants presentation of students
of Gurukul Surat was very wonderful and they have
acquired 05 Gold Medals, 06 Silver Medals and 10 Bronze
medals. In all with 21 medals Gurukul was leading in the
city. All participants were blessed by Sadguru Purani
Shree Dharmavallabhdasji Swami. |
