Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan re-established the tradition of Vedic Yagna in its original form and the same custom was continued by HH Sadguru Shastriji Maharaj Shree Dharmajivandasji Swami. On his divine foot prints Gurukul persisted in the tradition of Vedic Yagna during festivals, celebrations and day-to-day events of Yagna Anushthan.

Especially Sadguru Purani Swami Shree Bhaktiprakashdasji Swami regularly arranges for the Anushthan Havan Maha-Vihnu Yag at holy places of Gurukul and at various places.

Ugamedi, an adjacent village to great shrine of Sampraday Gadhapur, is also known as branch town of Gadhapur. This village is Prasadi of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan by His frequent visits. Pujya Purani Swami selected this pious place for the ANUSHTHAN HOMATMAK MAHAVISHNUYAG which was held during 05-07 Nov. 2008.

During these three days, Ahuties were offered with the recitation of great stotra Janmangal as well as Sarvamangal stotra, Vishnu Sahasra Nam and Purush Sukta. In 13 Kunds of Yagna 75 Saints and devotees offered the billions of Ahuties. Pujya Kothari Swami Shree Harijivandasji Swami, Sadguru Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami, Sadguru Purani Shree Shreeharidasji Swami also participated in this noble event of Yagna and offered the Ahuties.

Rushikumars from Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalay, SGVP and students of Gurukul Ahmedabad serviced hard to make the event very successful. All participants expressed the feeling of great satisfaction and pleasure.
