Shreemad Bhagawat, one of the leading scriptures in Indian tradition is full of the inspiring events of great saints, yogis and pious Leelas of many incarnations especially Bhagawan Shree Krishna. With the blessings of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji, Raghwani family at Nairobi, Kenya decided to arrange Katha Parayan of Shreemad Bhagawat Puran in the pious memory of Akshar Nivasi (AN) forefathers. For the narration of Bhagawat Katha Raghvani Family invited Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, an erudite and famous orator across the world.

Where as, along with sons Ravji, Harilal, Dhanji & Rameshchandra, Shree Rambai Kanji Bhimji Raghwani was the Yajman of Katha Parayan, in the pious memory of AN father-in-law Bhimji Ramji Raghwani, AN mother-in-law Gorbai Bhimji Raghwani, AN husband Shree Kanjibhai Bhimji Raghwani, AN son Naran Kanji Raghwani

Along with sons Bhimji, Kalyanji & Shantilal, Shree Lakshamanbhai Devshi Raghwani was the Yajman of Katha Parayan, in the pious memory of AN father Devshi Ramji Raghwani, An mother Amarbai Devshi Raghwani, wife Rambai Lakshaman Raghwani, brother Gopal Devshi Raghwani, AN daughter Shanta Lakshaman Raghwani.

Shreemad Bhagawat Katha Parayan was held at Shree Cutchi Leva Patel Samaj, Nairobi (west) from 05th April, Sunday to 12 April, 2009. Poth Yatra was carried out on 04th April noon and was followed by the Poojan of Pothiji (Scripture Bhagawat Puran) and orator. Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami explained the importance of Bhagawat Katha.

During the Parayan, Shree Krishna Janm Utsav, Annakut Leela, Rukshmani Vivah were celebrated with devotional fervour. On the day of Purnahuti, 12th April PPDD Acharya Maharajshree Rakeshprasadji Maharaj blessed the Yajman family & all participants through telephonic conversation. Yajman family was honoured with memento by Gurukul. In the end, all participants were served with Bhojan-Prasad.

Raghvani family members from UK, Australia and relatives, well-wishers in great numbers from various parts of Kenya took the privilege of this Katha Parayan and expressed the feelings of pleasure and satisfactions.
