MAKINDU

This year many regions of Kenya faced the calamity of drought. A shortage of rainfall made the life worst for human beings and animals too. Youth wing of SCLP Samaj as a Hindu Council of Kenya and members of Lions Club cooperatively arranged to supply tons of food, cloths and other basic necessities in the affected areas personally. At Makindu, a drought affected place Hindu Council of Kenya invited Pujya Swamiji to grace the distribution of  packages. Pujya Swamiji addressed the gathering and complimented the members of Hindu Council and Lions Club for this noble service to the needy society. Untiring efforts of Shree Muljibhai Pindolia (Kens Metal), Shree Prabhudasbhai (President), Shree Vaghajibhai Kerai (High Tech Industry), Shree Bhimjibhai Raghwani and other dedicated members of Hindu council provided over 400 tons of food, cloths, grains, seed to sow along with the other essentials. They also work effectively for the preservation of natural resources and environment specially in affected areas by constructing bore wells, check dams, field ponds, hand pumps, etc.
