Nagher region, in the green lap of mountain Gir is the very blessed land by Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan and saints of Gunatit tradition. The great saints of Junagadh dominion have sanctified this fertile land of Nagher with continuous Satsang Vicharan and celebrations of various festivals.

Sadguru Shastriji Maharaj also has wandered number of villages and even Shepherds’ huts of this Gir region. Since long all these devotees are firm in Satsang as well as in Seva due to regular contact of saints. Pujya Purani Swami Shree Premprakashdasji Swami and Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji too have frequently wandered here to strengthen the Satsang in the devotees.

Moreover, from the beginning of Gurukul, devotees from this Nagher region have shouldered the various activities of Gurukul in all aspects. Number of students from this region have studied in Gurukul and are well settled in country and abroad.

Since long it was earnest desire of the devotees to establish a branch of Gurukul in Nagher region. At last by the divine inspiration of Bhagawan Shree Swaminarayan and the blessings of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji, with the holy consent from Sadguruvarya Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami and with the association of Sadguru Purani Swami Shree Bhaktiprakashdasji Swami, Sadguru Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swani and all trusties land was acquired on the bank of holy river Machchhundri at ancient shrine of Droneshwar Mahadev.

Gurukul Parivar celebrates the festival of Jal-Zilani (Bhadarava Sud Ekadashi) at Droneshwar marvelously in the presence of devotees from surrounding villages and also far cities. On this auspicious occasion of Jal-Zilani, ritual of Bhoomi-Poojan for new branch of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, SGVP, Ahmedabad was performed at the holy hands of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji in the presence of saints and devotees from various places.

Sadguru Purani Swami Shree Bhaktiprakashdasji Swami, Sadguru Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami, trustee Shree Kantibhai Gnadhi, Yajman Shah Family were participated in rituals of Bhoomi-Poojan.

Shree D K Shah (Una, Mumbai), Shree Kantibhai M Gandhi (Una, Mumbai), Shree Navinbhai Dave (Mumbai), Shree Vipulbhai Gajera (Ankleshwar) etc. are the leading land donors for the Droneshwar branch of Gurukul.

Bhoomi-Poojan was followed by the celebration of Jal-zilani festival in the water of river Machchhundri. On the bank of the river thousands of devotees have gathered enthusiastically. During the celebration four Aarties were performed by saints, guests and Yajmans fo the festivals.

Student from Gurukul Ahmedabad presented various Raas and a new year Calendar was also released at the holy hands of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swamiji. Pujya Swamiji also blessed the guests, Yajmans, Land donors and supporters and all participants.

Pujya Shree Bholadas Bapu (Mahant Shree, Tulasi-Shyam Mandir), Pujya Shree Ghanshyam Giri Bapu (Mahant Shree, Droneshwar Mahadev), Shastri Shree Narayancharandasji Swami (Kothari Shree, Junagadh Temple), Kothari Shree Devnandandasji Swami, Junagadh, Pujya Viveksagardasji Swami (Pujari, Junagadh temple) and other saints have graced the occasion with their holy presence and words.

Sadguruvarya Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami blessed the celebration with telephonic words and as per the Gurukul tradition of Shastriji Maharaj recommended that resources of religious centers must be distributed to smallest needy persons of the society.

Sadguru Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami delivered the occasional speech and Sadguru Purani Swami Shree Bhaktiprakashdasji Swami blessed all participants.

Devotees from various villages of Nagher region and from the far places of Junagadh, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Mumbai, etc. participated in thousands in number.

Volunteers and members of Gurukul Yuvak Mandals enthusiastically and tirelessly work hard to meet this grand success of the celebration.
