Samved Friendly Meet - Gurukul Chharodi

The first ever Samveda Scholars friendly meet was organised by Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Vishwavidya Pratishthanam on Tuesday the 6th of April in Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Gurukul Chharodi.

The programme began with Samveda Parayana.

The meet began at 5:00p.m. with Vedic Chantings, Worshipping of Samveda, lighting of lamps By Sdg.Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami & Sdg. Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami.

Samved Vidwan of Gurukul Shree Girijaprasad Shadangiji welcomed all the invitees on behalf of Gurukul and informed about the objects of the meet and probable goals through upcoming planning. Principal Shree Rampriyaji spoke about aims and achievements of Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya.

Sama-Veda students of Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya mesmerized the audience by rendering Sama-Veda Sangeet for 20 minutes along with musical instruments.

Student of Shree Bhagvat Vidyapeeth - Sola, Kumar gave introduction to Samveda.

In the open discussion participants conversed on the potential ways for development in research and educational work on Vedas. Vidwan Shree Lakshmesh Joshi was the chief-guest who admired this kind of attempt for the improvement of Vedic literature and spoke on the occasion. He is retire H.O.D. of Sanskrit dept. - Gujarat University & has authored more than 40 books on Vedic and Sansrit literature.

Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami during his speech explained necessity of Vedic education in current and coming era and also assured to extend all the help to preserve & promote Samveda.

Sdg. Purani Shree Balkrishnadasji Swami blessed all the Scholars & students with garlands & Fruits.

The program was attended by more than 40 Sam-Vedic Scholars & 30 Sam-Vedic Students from all over Gujarat. In the end more than 150 people had Bhojan Prasadam.

The program was highly responded and very much appreciated by one & all.
