Satsang Shibir – U.K. London, (KEELE Univ.)

The aims of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul are according to the principles of spreading ‘SADVIDYA’  as propagated by Bhagvan Shree Swaminarayan. For this gurukul, imparting value based education integrated with ancient culture and modern education is of utmost priority. Hence, for the first time a wonderful Yuva Sanskar Satsang Shibir was organized in Europe, at the campus of world famous KEELE University. This four days satsang shibir was jointly organized in association with Shree Kachchh Swaminarayan Mandir, East London.

Sadguru Mahant Swami Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami, Sadguru Shastri Swami Shree Madhavpriydasji Swami, Purani Shree Hariswarupdasji Swami and Purani Shree Madhavjivandasji Swami along with other saints conducted discourses highlighting the importance of culture and Satsang in attractive way for the benefit of new generation and brought up in England.

The program began with lighting of a lamp, at 200 miles away form London at the lush filled, eye pleasing green surrounding campus of KEELE University.

Sdg. Shastri Shree Madhavpriydasji Swami in his inaugural ceremonial speech said that the objective of arranging this Shibir was to give a proper understanding and realization of ‘Hindu religion’ and Indian culture to all Haribhaktas staying away from mother land.

Swamiji also said that because of the principles of Swaminarayan Sampradaya and the vision of founder Shastrijee Maharaj, today Haribhaktas have prosperously settled in foreign land.

By concentrating on the Murti and by performing austerity measures like Dhyan, Yoga, Pranayam, Japa-Tapa one could help the self as well as society by properly utilizing the valuable human power.

Rashtriya Swayam Seva Sangh is known as Hindu Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh in Europe. The chief co-ordinator of Hindu Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh, Europe and Africa Dr. Ramjee Vaidya was the chief guest who narrated the importance of tracing our root in India (Mother land). He also said that by keeping the identity of being Indian we have to spread our religion and culture in foreign land.

Dr. Vaidya appreciated the NRIs who had progressed well in their business and stressed that luxury will give material happiness only. And for mental happiness organizing such Shibirs was necessary and the only way out. Appreciating Rajkot Gurukul for its social service and education activities, Dr. Vaidya said there is necessity of such Gurukuls in England and other parts of Europe.

Thought provoking discourses of Sadguru Mahant Shree Devkrishnadasji Swami held the Haribhaktas spell bound. The discourses of Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriydasji Swami were very much inspiring and thought provoking as they covered the topics on Seva, Bhakti and Tyag for leading a successful life by nourishing Satsang movement.

Purani Shree Hariswarupdasji Swami in his discourse spoke on duties of human life, Satsang and various charitras of Shree Swaminarayan Bhagavan very effectively. Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavjivandasji Swami won the hearts of boys and youth by preaching them religion, devotion, culture, Pooja Vidhi and Satsang Vidhi in a playful manner.

Sadguru Shastri Shree Madhavpriydasji Swami received Greetings of Best Wishes for the grand success of this Shibir from His Excellency Shree Ronen Sen, Indian high commissioner, London., Hon’ble minister Shree P.C.
